I’m dedicating this month to the joys of Motherhood! Two of my sons are born this month and I want to share all things mother and babies. In this blog entry I will first share my prenatal journey and what has helped me along the way, including products.
My experiences during each of my 3 pregnancies where all different. For me, my second pregnancy was a little more challenging. There were different cravings for all 3 as well. I do remember I wanted everything sour and salty with my first, everything sweet with my second, and just everything for my third lol.
Of course, prenatal vitamins were a must for me as it helped me get the right amount of nutrients during each day. Some prenatal vitamins can make you feel more nauseous than others. I’ve learned that “folate” made me feel better than “folic acid”, so I was sure to check the ingredients each time.
My #1 tip for drinks that helped me stay hydrated and feel better with nausea is sparkling water. I’ve had several, but my favorite one is the Pelligrino brand. It worked wonders for me when I felt thirsty and sick.
For sleeping at night, a body pillow helped me tremendously! It’s amazing how a body pillow shaped in a curve can help with a better sleep, especially when I was pregnant, I couldn’t turn onto my stomach during the night – something I usually do.
Check out the products that have helped me during all of my trimesters. I wish you a wonderful pregnancy journey, one filled with a lot of healthy and happy!!
Healthy mommy = healthy baby 🙂 Take it one day at a time and listen to your body. If your body wants rest, then sleep. If your body wants something sweet, then fruit or juice. If your body wants movement, then exercise. If your body has certain cravings, just go for it, but don’t overindulge. Enjoy pregnancy but keep it healthy!
